Julian Peet is a songwriter and producer hailing from Whadjuk Country, Perth. Having been an active participant in the west coast original music scene for over a decade, Julian’s breadth of experience performing, touring, recording and writing for various artists including Sad King Billy, PAPA | PEET, The Southern River Band and Old Blood has honed his craft and cemented him as a fixture in the industry.

 

His work with Old Blood has garnered two awards from WAM for Best Blues and Roots Act. The Southern River Band's 2019 album Rumour and Innuendo featuring Julian as a songwriter and guitarist reached no.2 on the Australian Independent Record Charts. Julian has been a recipient of the DLGSC Contemporary Music Fund for his solo album Sad King Billy, the solo project has been a feature album on RTRFM and features Julian's best work yet as a songwriter and producer.

Believing strongly in capturing authentic performances and songwriting, Julian works closely with artists to bring their original stories, sounds and emotional perspectives to life in recording.
